I offer 1-1 lessons to students of all ages and abilities from Fleet, Farnham, Farnborough Aldershott and surrounding areas.

Lessons take place at my drum studio in Church Crookham which is equipped with a top of the range Roland electric kit.

If you are a complete beginner I have a step by step course guiding you through the basics of drumming. Build your rhythmic vocabulary and be able to play songs you enjoy.

If you are returning to drumming I can give your playing a complete tune up working on technique, coordination, timing, tone and feel. I will also provide you with an arsenal of new groove and fill ideas as well as learning your favourite songs.

Testimonials and References

“I approached Stu to give me a few lessons to rekindle my interest in drumming - something I had abandoned years ago. Stu through his patience, all round ability and easy going nature gave me more than just drum lessons, he opened up a whole world of drumming with different styles and rudiment techniques. In simple terms he made it fun and something to look forward to. The only reason I stopped lessons was to move abroad, and will be getting a drum kit and carrying on playing that great instrument, with Stu's advice ringing in my head. I would easily recommend Stu to anyone who has an interest in drumming - both young or old.”

Tony Maru

"I was highly impressed with the quality of Stuarts drumming lessons. He was conscientious and patient tailoring the lessons to my ability and the type of music I was interested in. He was always well prepared before lessons and gave a lot of thought to their content. I thoroughly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn drums."

Edward Alexander

"Stuart is a patient and talented drum teacher, who manages to adjust his methods and expectations according to the pupil and their individual needs. He has managed to inspire my teenage son to continue with lessons despite only intending to do them short term for his D of E skill. Stuart is also extremely efficient and well organised. I would throughly recommend him as a teacher."

Helen Barnardo

" I found Stuart to be extremely professional when he taught me drums. He was consistently organised, encouraging, supportive and flexible. His patience, clarity of explanation and confidence were sufficiently balanced to make me want to learn more. I would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone.

Kurt Rowe

"Stuart is a great drum teacher. He started teaching our 12-year old son from mid-2011 and we're delighted with his service.

He is very reliable, always communicates well if visit dates or times have to change for any reason and is always patient and good-humoured with our son, who likes him a great deal.

Stuart is a gigging musician with excellent musical qualifications and a demonstrable knowledge of many different drumming styles. I can't recommend him highly enough."
