Experience and Qualifications

I have experience teaching drummers of almost all ages and skill levels, helping them to develop key musicianship skills, a great passion for their instrument and further their career prospects through performance experiences and Rockschool/Trinity examinations. Through my tutoring, my students have achieved a 100% exam pass rate, more than 80% of which were Merit or Distinction level. I have mainly worked in secondary and primary schools both as Music Lead in addition to teaching drum students and leading school percussion groups as well as multi-instrument orchestras. I currently teach at 1 High school and 4 local Primary school in Leeds and have linked the schools through shared
performances.

I personally began learning Drums at the age of 11 and throughout my drumming career, I have earned certificates in Rockschool Drums Grades 1, 3, 6 and 8 - all at Distinction level. Most recently, I earned my Rockschool Music Performance Diploma.

I have performed professionally at various functions in multiple bands all over the UK and supported bands such as Ocean Colour Scene and Maximo Park at venues such as Millennium Square and Leeds & Reading Festival.

Standard hourly rate: £40.00

Further pricing details: First hour-long lesson for half price (£15)
Lessons are booked in 1-month blocks in advance. Any cancellations on my part that cannot be rescheduled will be refunded. If the student cancels a lesson and cannot reschedule, I will send a 20-30 minute long video lesson.
