Experience and Qualifications

I have experience teaching drummers of almost all ages and skill levels. I have mainly worked in secondary and primary schools teaching drum students and leading school Percussion Groups. I currently work at Temple Moor High School and Temple Newsam Halton Primary School in Leeds, where I teach both drum kit lessons and after-school percussion groups.

I personally began learning Drums at the age of 11, receiving lessons through my old secondary school. Throughout my drumming career, I have earned certificates in Rockschool Drums Grades 1, 3, 6 and 8 - all at Distinction level. Recently, I earned my Rockschool Music Performance Diploma.

I am currently the drummer for two local Leeds rock bands - The Indigo Project and The Atoms - the former of which regularly plays gigs to large crowds all over the UK, including at Leeds and Reading Festival. I have also played Percussion in a number of Brass bands, including the West Yorkshire Police Brass Band.
