Testimonials and References
My son, aged seven, started drum lessons with Kirsty about six weeks ago and it has been a tremendous success, to the extent that he even suggests practicing himself... Kirsty is patient, explains things well to him, and has maintained his interest and enthusiasm brilliantly. As a parent, she is helpful and responsive, quick to respond to email and answer questions. We have been delighted, therefore, and would highly recommend Kirsty if you are looking for a drumming teacher for your kid(s).

Kirsty has been a great teacher! My daughter has made really good progress with her drums with Kirsty and has thoroughly enjoyed her drumming lessons!!

'My son has been taking drumming lessons with Kirsty for a short time now but already he is transfixed! He actually wants to come home and practice. He said he really enjoys his lessons and the communication from Kirsty about lessons is really good. She always informs us of time changes or reminds us when the lessons are each week as the children need to go to her lessons in between a school day.'

'I started drum lessons with Kirsty about 6 weeks ago. I would say she is very good. We have just started a new grade 2 book and we are getting through it quickly and efficiently. I am really enjoying the lessons and really like practicing. Kirsty is great fun to learn with.'
Holly (aged10) - July 2016
'I thoroughly enjoyed my six lessons with Kirsty who is an excellent teacher. Kirsty's teaching methods are a good combination of firm, friendly and fun - ensuring one learns at a good pace and in a relaxed atmosphere. I am happy to recommend Kirsty, who should be the first port of call in the local area when seeking a professional drum teacher.'

'My daughter (10) and I have both recently started lessons with Kirsty. Before we started with Kirsty we had become frustrated with our progress. She has changed and tailored our learning material to match our individual aims and interests. Her teaching style is challenging but fun. As a result our enthusiasm and progress has noticeably improved. As a result I'd certainly recommend drum lessons with Kirsty.'
Nick - July 2016
'We have known Kirsty for 5 years and she has taught both of our son’s. Very different in personalities, both have hugely enjoyed their lessons and have a real passion for the drums. My younger son in particular plays often just for pleasure and his confidence in other areas has blossomed. We really couldn’t recommend Kirsty more highly.'
Kirsti - November 2014
'Kirsty taught both of my children (a boy and a girl) to play the drums from the age of around 6 or 7. Her lessons were always fun and both my son and daughter reached a high standard in a short period of time. Kirsty taught them to appreciate the versatility of the drum kit and how to both play along to music and to be able to improvise. My daughter now plays drums in a jazz band and they both continue to enjoy the pleasure of playing. I highly recommend Kirsty as a drum teacher for children and young people of all ages.'
